The Berchtesgaden area, and especially the Berchtesgaden basin has always been a centre of attraction for visitors from all over the world . The basin is characterized by the smooth and the rampant mountains.
Lake Königssee, emerald shinning throughout the summer, is surrounded by high mountains and borders with one of the most beautiful national parks of Germany .
With its area of 210 sqm, the national park is famous for its diverse wildlife and countryside, and a famous landmark of the region.
There are also a lot of other famous sights in this region like the Salzbergwerk Berchtesgaden, the Jenner mountain with cable car , the famous Königssee with boating, the Kunsteisrodelbahn, the Schloss Berchtesgaden, the famous eagles nest and last but not least the Rossfeld Höhenringstrasse.
